Privacy Policy

Data the app processes on your device

• Controller connection details — the controller address (host/IP) and the API key you enter. These are stored locally and encrypted in the operating system keychain (Apple Keychain / Android Keystore). They are used to connect to your controller, or to a proxy address you configure. Sharing a profile deliberately exports its controller API keys to the recipient or sharing application you choose. We do not receive those keys.
• Vouchers — voucher codes are created on, and stored by, your own UniFi controller. The app only displays them and lets you share or revoke them.
• WiFi passwords and clipboard — WiFi keys you enter are stored for the selected controller and network. “Paste password” reads text from the clipboard only when you press it. The password is saved only when you confirm the form. The app cannot search the iPhone’s system WiFi keychain.
• Camera — on supported mobile devices, the camera scans a shared profile QR code after you grant access. Camera images are not uploaded to us. Link import is available without the camera.
• App settings — small preferences (e.g. macOS menu-bar mode) stored locally on your device.

Network access

The app communicates directly with your UniFi controller over your local network or the address you provide, using the official UniFi Network Integration API. On iOS the app requests the "Local Network" permission solely to discover and reach the controller. No data is sent to getvouchers.app, sushi.dev, or any analytics service.

Data we do not collect

We do not collect personal information, usage analytics, advertising or tracking identifiers, location, contacts, or device identifiers. The app contains no third-party tracking SDKs.

This website

Everything above describes the app. This website, getvouchers.app, uses Fathom Analytics to count page views. Fathom sets no cookies, stores no personal data and builds no profile of you across other sites, so there is no consent banner and nothing to opt out of. We only ever see aggregate numbers: which pages were opened, where visitors came from, and a rough country and device type.

The app itself contains no analytics. If you open help or other website links from the app, those pages follow this website’s privacy policy.

Sharing

When you choose to share a voucher, WiFi join card or profile (e.g. via Messages or email), the selected data is handed to the app you pick using your device's standard share sheet. That sharing is governed by the privacy policy of the app you choose. WiFi cards contain the network password; shared profiles contain controller API keys. We are not involved and receive nothing.

Security & retention

Connection details are kept in secure device storage. They are used for the controller or proxy connection you configure, and can leave the device when you explicitly share a profile. They are stored device-only: they are not synced through iCloud Keychain and are not included in encrypted device backups, so a controller credential does not follow you onto other hardware. You can remove a saved controller in the app at any time, which deletes its details from the keychain.

UniFi consoles ship a self-signed certificate. The first time the app connects to a controller it records that certificate’s fingerprint, and afterwards accepts only that exact certificate. If it ever changes, the app stops and asks you rather than sending your API key to whatever answered.

The current setup flow asks for a controller API key or proxy token, not a controller administrator password. WiFi passwords are supplied separately by you.

Children

The app is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone.

Your rights

Because we do not collect or hold any personal data, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete. Any data created on your UniFi controller is under your control and governed by your own arrangements with Ubiquiti.
