Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 26, 2026

UniFi Vouchers ("the app") is published by Sushi Dev GmbH ("we", "us"). The app lets you create, share and revoke guest WiFi vouchers on your own UniFi network. This policy explains how the app handles data.

In short

We do not collect, store, transmit or sell any personal data. The app has no servers, no user accounts, no analytics and no advertising. Everything stays on your device or goes directly to the UniFi controller you connect to.

Data the app processes on your device

  • Controller connection details — the controller address (host/IP) and the API key you enter. These are stored locally and encrypted in the operating system keychain (Apple Keychain / Android Keystore). They are used only to connect to your controller and are never sent to us or any third party.
  • Vouchers — voucher codes are created on, and stored by, your own UniFi controller. The app only displays them and lets you share or revoke them.
  • App settings — small preferences (e.g. macOS menu-bar mode) stored locally on your device.

Network access

The app communicates directly with your UniFi controllerover your local network or the address you provide, using the official UniFi Network Integration API. On iOS the app requests the "Local Network" permission solely to discover and reach the controller. No data is sent to getvouchers.app, sushi.dev, or any analytics service.

Data we do not collect

We do not collect personal information, usage analytics, advertising or tracking identifiers, location, contacts, or device identifiers. The app contains no third-party tracking SDKs.

Sharing

When you choose to share a voucher (e.g. via Messages, WhatsApp, Signal or email), the code is handed to the app you pick using your device's standard share sheet. That sharing is governed by the privacy policy of the app you choose. We are not involved and receive nothing.

Security & retention

Connection details are kept in the OS keychain and never leave your device except to reach your controller over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. You can remove a saved controller in the app at any time, which deletes its details from the keychain.

Children

The app is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone.

Your rights

Because we do not collect or hold any personal data, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete. Any data created on your UniFi controller is under your control and governed by your own arrangements with Ubiquiti.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the "last updated" date above.
